A Brazilian woman who stalked and sent Harry Styles 8,000 cards in less than a month has been jailed and banned from seeing the singer perform after pleading guilty in court
A woman who stalked former One Direction star Harry Styles has been jailed and banned from seeing him perform for 10 years after she plead guilty in court to a charge of stalking involving serious alarm or distress. Myra Carvalho, 35, appeared at Harrow Crown Court sitting at Hendon Magistrates’ Court after pleading guilty to the offence on Tuesday, where she was sentenced to 14 weeks’ imprisonment and subject to a restraining order, a court official said.
"This defendant has travelled all the way from Brazil, and has frequently and to an extremely intense nature by sending over 8,000 cards and describing sexual urges towards him. She has a partner ... It also causes great concern to the complainant. She hand-delivered letters and wedding cards,” reports the Mirror.
