Seasons Of Mist, Rum Diary and Penny For are all good chances for the Kris Lees on Tuesday.
The powerful Kris Lees stable will send three runners to Taree on Tuesday with high hopes of a winning treble.
Lees will have Seasons Of Mist in the TAB Maiden Plate , Rum Diary in the Waitui Falls Maiden Plate and Penny For in the Budgeree Holsteins Hannam Vale Bracelet F&M Benchmark 58 Handicap .“They all look pretty well suited in their respective events,” Lees said. “Seasons Of Mist is resuming over the mile but he’s had a good grounding for it with a couple of trials under his belt.“He’s drawn wide, so will have to overcome that, but Lee Magorrian takes the ride and he should give him every chance.”“Rum Diary hasn’t raced since last November but like Seasons Of Mist he’s also had the two barrier trials leading into this resuming run,” Lees said.
Penny For rounds out the day for Lees when it contests the final race, with Gibbons also taking the ride on the three-year-old filly.“She’s a filly that has always shown us something at home and, even when she’s missed a place a few times, she hasn’t been beaten too far.” Penny For had two barrier trials before resuming with a fourth at Tuncurry in what Lees thought was a commendable effort.“She settled back in the field and while she was beaten four lengths, she did manage to run home reasonably well to finish fourth. She’ll be better for that run and she’s drawn ideally in gate two.”
