Brian Reader has died at the age of 84 Brian Reader, the man behind the Hatton Garden heist, has died at the age of 84. He is infamous for his role in high profile raids across the country where he made more than £200million. A death certificate reveals he died in September 2023 at his home in Dartford, Kent, despite his family trying to keep it a secret. He died from colon and prostate cancer.
