Russian troops held Chernobyl staff working at the plant at gunpoint during a marathon shift of more than a month, with employees sleeping on tabletops and eating just twice a day.
Photos show trenches left by Russian soldiers dug in the red forest surrounding the Chernobyl nuclear site. Hundreds if not thousands of troops are believed to have handled radioactive material during the invasion.
