Hawthorn are set to drop polarising forward Jack Ginnivan for their blockbuster Easter Monday clash against Geelong. The teams will be announced on Sunday but everyone was saying the same thing on Saturday when a photo of Ginnivan emerged on social media. Social media account Hawks Insider shared a photo of Ginnivan on Saturday leaving the track at Hawthorn’s Waverley Park base.
But he has struggled this season and only managed two goals from five games, and just four goal assists. Interestingly, those two goals came in Hawthorn’s Round 1 clash against Essendon. He has failed to score a goal in the club’s other four matches. His other season stats are also low, averaging just six kicks a game and two tackles.
