Temperatures in the upper 90s, with heat index values pushing over 100, are expected.
The National Weather Service has issued a hazard advisory for south-central Pennsylvania due to excessive heat on Sunday.
Temperatures in the capitol region are expected to reach the upper 90s, with humidity making the effective heat index over 100, the NWS is projecting. Residents should be particularly cautious about spending extended periods of time in the sun and drink plenty of fluids. Conditions are expected to cool on Monday, with highs dropping back into the 80s and a strong chance of thunderstorms.
Partly sunny conditions with highs in the upper 80s, as well as intermittent storms and showers, are projected to continue thereafter throughout the week. Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
