“Because the platform to the ground is about five feet, it wasn’t possible for the girl to climb back up… if you’re only short you cannot climb this.”The train pulled to a halt in what onlookers described as “possibly less than a metre” away from the man and woman on the tracks.The 58-year-old man was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital with head and wrist injuries, according to NSW Police.
Known to onlookers as Hayden, the Sydney Metro flagger who helped stopped the train has been called “one of the heroes”Molavin said he initially considered going live to Facebook as the incident unfolded, but was not certain how it would end.“Because it was about 2.48pm, most of the people there were students.”
