Tony Abbott says criticisms made by British MPs about his looming appointment to the UK Board of Trade is the result of him having "convictions".is continuing to cause a political storm in Westminster with a prominent Conservative MP breaking ranks and savaging the prospect, describing Abbott as a "misogynist" with a poor record on gay rights.
Caroline Nokes, an MP and a former British immigration minister said: "he is a misogynist, he has very poor views on LGBTQ rights, I just don’t think this is a man who should be anywhere near our Board of Trade," when asked about the appointment on the BBC'sConservative MP Caroline Nokes thinks appointing Tony Abbott to a trade role in the UK is a bad idea.
