A prosecutor today told the court the boy had been signed into the centre's attendance system and staff had noticed he wasn't there but no alarm was raised, suggesting he may have been signed in so both the boy's family and the centre did not lose childcare benefits.
He responded, "her position as an employee of Goodstart Early Learning, would have the responsibility upon her". "The family is suitably distressed and very upset about this. And hopefully, now that the matter is before the court, they'll get the answers that they need."
