A young woman frightened of her partner texted a friend to ask whether they could book her a ticket back to China in one of the last messages she ever sent.

Liqun Pan – known as Panpan to those close to her – was in the apartment she shared with boyfriend Weijie “Jack” He, who she had not seen or heard from since the night before.Police estimate that just a few minutes later He attacked the 19-year-old Sydney student, killing her in horrific circumstances.
