When Zack Martin talks, it bears listening.
This week, Martin lauded Smith and his ability to become the left-side player the Cowboys drafted him to be. The first-round pick from Tulsa developed that versatility under offensive line coaches Joe Philbin and Jeff Blasko’s tutelage. He has embraced advice and example from anywhere he could find it, including veteran teammates and local-base offensive line guru Duke Manyweather.
“God, he’s just such a freak. He really is. The things he can do without really working a fundamental. Just the things he can get himself out of, just by pure strength and athleticism is pretty special. The ceiling for this guy is extremely high.”That means he’ll draw Tyler Smith at left tackle and Tyron Smith at right tackle.
