A host of new safety features and privacy options are set to hit Instagram with users able to view their digital footprint while parents can have greater control over their children's accounts.

The Instagram Head divided the changes into two sections which would give parents more access to their teens’ accounts and features that will give young people the ability to police their own experiences. Another feature allows parents to be notified when teens report someone which Mr Mosseri believed would give families the opportunity to talk openly about incidents.
The Head of Instagram further explained that users will be able to “see and manage” their Instagram activity.
