NSW Health says there is no ongoing public risk, but has encouraged anyone who was on the same flights or in the same place as the person with measles to monitor for symptoms. "Measles is a vaccine-preventable disease that is spread through the air when someone who is infectious coughs or sneezes. The virus can stay in the air and infect others up to half an hour after the infectious person leaves a room.
