The New South Wales Health community is reeling from the loss of a young doctor just one year into her first job, who was among ten killed in the horrific Hunter Valley wedding bus crash on Sunday.
She was a junior doctor practicing at the Calvary Marter Hospital in Newcastle, reportedly just over one year into the job posting.
“We’ve lost one of our own,” Mr Park said. “This has made a dark day even darker for New South Wales Health. Ms Mullen’s role as a junior medical officer under the Hunter New England Local Health District was her first job after graduating from university in late 2021.DAILY TELEGRAPH JUNE 13, 2023. “Our priority right now is providing support to Rebecca’s family and colleagues at this incredibly difficult time.” In addition to the deaths, a further 25 passengers from the bus have been injured following the horrific crash. Communities across the country have been left in shock over the tragedy, as tributes continue to flow in from mourners both at the crash site and online.
