A close friend of Michael Schumacher has given a rare insight into the former Formula One legend’s life.
The decorated F1 champion was airlifted to nearby Grenoble Hospital and placed in a medically induced coma for six months.
It generated significant media attention at the time, and fans congregated at the French hospital to celebrate his 45th birthday, which occurred shortly after the accident.
