Senior meteorologist Miriam Bradbury warns of ongoing heavy rainfall and potential storms in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia. Up to 55mm of rain in Queensland and 60mm in 30 minutes in NSW were reported, with Sydney expecting thunderstorms and widespread rain.

Heavy rainfall has been recorded in Queensland and New South Wales , with no signs of stopping. The Bureau of Meteorology predicts increased moisture in other states as well. In Queensland , up to 55mm of rain was reported, while parts of NSW saw as much as 60mm in just 30 minutes. Despite mostly inland impacts in Queensland , Brisbane may experience some showers. Sydney and surrounding areas can expect thunderstorms and widespread rain.

On Saturday, eastern Australia is expected to see more rain and storms, with the potential for storms in all state capitals and Canberra
