After Helena got the role, she fully committed — so much so that she hired a psychic medium to make sure she had Princess Margaret's approval from beyond the grave before moving forward.Helena dropped this tidbit while talking about her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II's younger sister while at the Cheltenham literature festival — and shared that Princess Margaret was very pleased with the cast of“She said, apparently, she was glad it was me," Helena told the crowd, per.
“So I asked her: ‘Are you OK with me playing you?’ and she said: ‘You’re better than the other actress’ … that they were thinking of," Helena shared."They will not admit who it was. It was me and somebody else."“That made me think maybe she is here, because that is a classic Margaret thing to say," Helena added."She was really good at complimenting you and putting you down at the same time.
