Preston Bus Station has always been in the middle of some row or another. And during the life of the Tithebarn project it was a central quarrel for many parties - many wanting the whole thing flattened and moved to a new location in the city, and supporters seeking listed building status for the brutalist structure.
In the end they got their way and the bus station still stands where it has since it was built in 1968 - now with a lick of paint and a spruce upThe former Tradex site was a major player in the Tithebarn project.
