UH point guard Jamal Shead has teamed up with Cosmic Ice Cream Co. for a new ice cream flavor just in time for the NCAA Tournament.BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Jamal Shead has gone from dishing basketballs to scooping ice cream.
Shead, a junior point guard for the University of Houston, teamed up with Cosmic Ice Cream Co. for a new ice cream just in time for the NCAA Tournament. “For The C1ty,” a spin off the Cougars’ popular slogan and Shead's uniform number, is a “silky smooth white chocolate ice cream with a house-made strawberry jam throughout,” according to Cosmic Ice Cream Co. co-owner Julian Haynes. Naturally, the combination forms UH’s red and white colors.Camille Haynes, Cosmic’s co-owner and ice cream maker, is a UH alum.
“For The C1ty” will be sold at both Cosmic Ice Cream Co. locations — 937 W. Bay Area Blvd. in Webster and 8207A Long Point Rd. in Spring Branch — through the NCAA Tournament.
