The shops have experienced a huge Christmas rush from shoppers both local and tourists

We all have our favourite shops where we know we can find the perfect gift for family members or friends. However, sometimes it feels great to get off the beaten track and discover something a little bit different.

Danielle Downs is the owner of Ruby and Sophia's Dog Bakery which sells a collection of dog treats and accessories. The bakery has been busy in the past few weeks with the Christmas rush. Danielle feels The Craft Centre offers something unique but more people need to know about it. Richard Hawks runs Stone Treasure in the centre. He has owned the family-run business which sells fossils, crystals and gemstone jewellery since 1989. He says that it has been increasingly busy in recent weeks in the run-up to Christmas.

"People make the trip out to see us because the goods that we offer are unique. We have customers who have visited us in summer or have become regular visitors so they know we are here and make an effort to come back and see what we have."
