'We're a safe haven. I'm constantly saying to people, I couldn't care less if you're pink, yellow, blue, green - you're welcome'
A tourist hotspot for decades, the seaside resort certainly knows what it's doing when it comes to food - and there's plenty of choice. Last year, Abingdon Street Market opened and the town became even more food-focussed than before.
While visitors to the family-run Café 25 can get their hands on a delicious barista coffee if that's what they want, sometimes people 'just want an instant coffee'.Attentive, friendly and clearly passionate about the community - Aaron always had a dream to open up and run his own business, with an extensive experience in hospitality during his former years.
Cafe 25 offers vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options - the latter being particularly crucial to Aaron as he suffers from coeliac disease himself. On Sunday, January 28 Aaron and his team woke up to the exciting news that Café 25 had received a second award from Restaurant Guru - a website offering information and reviews on restaurants and eateries across the world. For the team in Blackpool, they found out they had been recommended by customers in 2023 and again in 2024 - a tangible way to show how much the cafe is beloved by its consumers.
As well as their usual sandwiches, paninis, pies and toasties, Café 25 is also offering sweet treats to take away. Aaron says their recent offering of cream teas for takeaways has become "really popular" and are now doing a convenient set of four scones, four creams and four jams for £15 which have "flown out".
