Outgoing Reserve Bank Governor Philip Lowe says high-interest rates aren’t the reason why Australia has some of the highest housing in the world. “The reason why Australia has some of the highest housing prices in the world isn’t interest rates,” Mr Lowe said. “The high housing prices are the outcomes of the choices that we all made together as a society.”
