At one point, CPS Energy tweeted that there were 15,000 customers without power.
Crews were out in the high winds trimming down trees and repairing the lines. As of this morning, the outage map indicated 50 outages affecting 1,525 customers.
The San Antonio International Airport recorded wind gusts at 58 miles per hour Thursday evening, while Joint Base San Antonio Lackland saw them at 60 mph. This continued into the overnight hours, particularly in areas west of the city. The rest of today is expected to have clear skies with drier air. It will be moderately breezy for the first half of the day, with winds lightening up into the evening hours, Brady said.
