The owners of the Preston Road office building are planning a multimillion-dollar redo.The three-story building at the northeast corner of Preston Road and Mockingbird Lane was built in 1987. The Mediterranean-style building overlooks the Dallas Country Club and is across the street from theThe fully leased, 77,437-square-foot property at 5500 Preston Road has been owned since 1989 by investors represented by Dallas-based L&B Realty Advisors.

“We are upgrading the building’s classic interiors with a more modern aesthetic,” L&B Realty’s Corinne Hoffman said in a statement. “The goal is to make it more enjoyable for our tenants and their clients as this is a highly sought-after location in the center of Dallas’ wealthiest enclave.”The redo will include exterior improvements and interior upgrades to the lobby, elevators, restrooms, atrium and common corridors.

“The building exterior and site improvements include entrance and plaza revitalization featuring new landscaped planters, seating areas and an outdoor pergola to offer shaded comfort,” Hoffman said.
