Ukraine’s Ambassador to Australia Vasyl Myroshnychenko has called on Australia to “step up” its support of the war-torn country and send more infantry vehicles.
“It’s important that Australia, which has been very supportive since the beginning, continues that support,” Mr Myroshnychenko told Sky News Australia.
“Given all the hardships and challenges Ukrainian people have to go to … it’s horrendous, it’s obscene what’s happening.” He added that Ukraine would appreciate more Bushmasters and M113 armoured personnel carriers from Australia. “Sending tanks to Ukraine would also be highly desirable, and we would be very thankful for that,” he said.
