We send our very best wishes to Roy.” Hodgson had intended to retire from football at the end of the 2021-22 season but returned to Palace on a temporary basis in March of this year as replacement for Patrick Vieira.He signed a one-year contract with the club earlier this summer to stay on in a permanent capacity.
