Hat-trick hero Russell, Moses star as Eels scrape past valiant Titans
Hat-trick hero Sean Russell was rushed to hospital nursing suspected broken ribs and Mitchell Moses starred on Sunday, as the Eels scraped home 32-28 against the valiant Titans at CommBank Stadium.
The officials deemed the incident not to be malicious, but that was one of very few calls that went the Titans’ way on Sunday. The visitors were on the wrong end of a 7-1 penalty count and had three captain’s challenges go Parramatta’s way, leaving coach Justin Holbrook seething. “We had a great opportunity taken away from us to try and win a game of footy. The second half, honestly, if I wasn’t coaching, I would have fallen asleep. The game never flowed the whole second half.
“It was the type of game we needed to go set to set with them, and we didn’t do that,” Moses said immediately after the match.
