TV presenter Holly Willoughby has shared a series of behind the scenes snaps from Sunday’s once in a lifetime Platinum Jubilee Pageant.
Dressed in a chic blue floral dress with halter neck detail, the This Morning presenter posed with her trademark smile outside the gates of Buckingham Palace ahead of the start of proceedings on Sunday afternoon. Captioning the images, the Dancing on Ice presenter wrote: "Day of dreams…. Happy Happy Platinum Jubilee your Majesty… we LOVE you".
The 96 year old monarch was forced to withdraw from any engagements over the weekend after suffering from some "discomfort" on Thursday during the Trooping of the Colour ceremony. Listening to a rendition of the National Anthem by thousands of fans in attendance, the Queen, who wore a green ensemble, smiled brightly for the crowds as she waved to onlookers.
Posting on the official Royal Family Twitter account, she wrote: “When it comes to how to mark seventy years as your Queen, there is no guidebook to follow. It really is a first. But I have been humbled and deeply touched that so many people have taken to the streets to celebrate my Platinum Jubilee.
