Veteran Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg has issued an impassioned plea to “save” the 100-year-old Moore Park Golf Course, which is set to be radically reduced in size under a plan proposed by the state government.
Veteran Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg has called on Sydneysiders to “save” Moore Park Golf Course from state government plans that will cut the size of the 100-year-old facility in half.
Wahlberg called on Sydneysiders on Saturday to reject the plan, recording a 44-second video in which he said he had seen plenty of parks, but few public access golf courses like the one at Moore Park. “It’s been here for over 100 years, it’s been giving people hundreds and hundreds of years of pleasure and joy. And just people being able to come out, get a nice healthy walk, spend quality time together with family and friends, and make new friends."
