As inquiries continue, police are seeking to identify a dark-coloured four-wheel drive.
The grim discovery was made in Springs, north of Boddington on December 6 after fire crews responded to calls of a car set alight on Ricks Road, about 12.25pm.
The man's body was located in the front passenger seat of the vehicle, which was a silver Holden Commodore sedan.Police said the body is believed to be a 53-year-old man from Boddington.At this stage the man's death is being treated as suspicious, police said. Police have released CCTV of the vehicle in an appeal for public assistance, after it was seen driving on North Bannister-Wandering Road, near a petrol station on Watt Street at the time.
