REPORT | Hornets come from behind to draw at Blues WatfordFC
Watford again showed character to come from behind to earn a point as their reunion with club legend Troy Deeney ended in a 1-1 draw at Birmingham City.
The hosts sought to make the early running but the Hornets soon grew into the game and started to ask some attacking questions, with the front three of Joao Pedro, Bayo and Asprilla combining neatly at times. Having gone so close to taking the lead, Watford were caught out when Scott Hogan did well to get in behind the defence on the right side of the 18-yard box before cutting the ball back for the arriving Hall to beat Daniel Bachmann from ten yards.
In the 63rd minute though, the visitors did mange to get in behind the defence through Gaspar whose low cross was parried away by Ruddy to the left side of the area where Sema steadied himself before rifling in a low shot which may have been turned in by substitute Rej Manaj to equalise.
