Northern Territory emergency services are continuing to investigate the circumstances behind a fatal car crash in Howard Springs on Saturday night that left four people dead., NT Police said a single vehicle crash was reported about 6:45pm on Saturday night on Hillier Road, about 30 kilometres south of Darwin.St John Ambulance NT operations manager Craig Garraway described the tragedy as "horrible scenes for everyone involved".
Mr Garraway told ABC Radio Darwin on Monday morning that it appeared the car had struck a culvert just off Whitewood Road.Howard Springs resident Chloe said the crash was confronting for the whole community."I think it wrecks a small community like this." The tragedy is the largest loss of life in a Northern Territory motor vehicle accident since five people were killed in a car crash west of Jabiru in 2019."We had a great turnout from all the emergency services, and hats off to everyone there," he said.
"Obviously, [it's] a very difficult scene for everyone involved, bystanders and all the emergency workers."Posted
