Police said the vehicle was approached by a 31-year-old man who allegedly shot the woman who died from the wound.Mackay Whitsunday Superintendent Graeme Paine said it was"an absolutely shocking thing to have experienced". "They were obviously very fearful … it's an absolutely tragic situation," Superintendent Paine said, The Courier Mail reported.
The 31-year-old was arrested outside a fast-food restaurant along the Bruce Highway, near Hinton Street in Mackay.
