The Prince and Princess of Wales have spoken out to the families and communities affected by the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria as the death toll passes 20,000.

"Our thoughts are with the communities affected and we are pleased to support the @decappeal campaign which will aid the response on the ground. W & C".

It’s a tragedy thousands of families are sharing together as the death toll across both northern Syria and Turkey reaches 20,450. UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly said its government would match any public donations to DEC's appeal in order to provide urgent assistance to earthquake victims.
