The new development between Queen Street and Church Street would be a replacement for the current Onward managed tower blocks in the city
which Onward say would require significant investment to maintain to the standard needed to continue to provide the 700 homes.The new housing on Horrocks Mill would include mews style houses to the north and west of the site, and low-rise apartments to the east and south.
A new green open space would be put in, as well as a trim trail for exercise and new walking routes connecting Queen Street to Church Street are also planned.
