Two masked raiders broke into the Windsor Castle estate as Prince William, Princess Catherine and their three children slept nearby, according to a report in a major British newspaper.

“At around 11.45 pm on Sunday October 13, we received a report of burglary at a property on Crown Estate land near to the A308 in Windsor,” the spokesman said. “There are alarms at Windsor Castle, but the first time anyone knew there was a break-in was when they crashed through the security barrier at Shaw Farm Gate exit.
The security scare comes amid reports armed police are no longer stationed at Windsor Castle’s two main public entrances.Jaswant Singh Chail, who broke into Windsor Castle armed with a crossbow intending to kill the late Queen, was jailed in 2023.
