A 73‑year‑old woman was critically injured when a Nissan Tiida struck a hospital, causing St John of God Murdoch to temporarily shut its private emergency department. All other services remain operational, and patients are directed to the nearby Fiona Stanley Hospital for emergency care. The hospital issued a message to patients following the morning emergency. A 73-year-old woman suffered critical injuries when she was hit by a car which then slammed into a hospital, forcing the closure of an emergency department.

“The nearest 24/7 emergency department is at Fiona Stanley Hospital, across the road,” the hospital said on social media. A woman has been critically injured and St John of God Murdoch has closed its emergency department following a morning incident. All other hospital services are operating normally following the “unforeseen incident”.
“We have notified St John WA, Fiona Stanley Hospital and other relevant partners and stakeholders,” a St John of Gold Health Care spokesperson told 7NEWS.com.au in a statement. “We apologise for the inconvenience and are working to safely restore services as soon as possible. ”Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers.
