There is lots of work set to take place in the city

A wide-range of projects were applied for and given the go-ahead last week in Nottingham. There were a variety of plans submitted to Nottingham City Council that made progress in the week ending September 2.

Planners have said both of these buildings are of poor construction, beyond repair and are not fit for purpose. The existing single storey entrance lobby to the north elevation and lean-to extension to the east will be demolished. No outdoor space is planned as part of the training and day care facility, with the applicant stating this was not an essential part of a day care. The applicant also said noise generated by a day care environment was "very similar to any business premises such as a vets, dentist, workshop but any dogs excessively barking will not be able to come to day care".

Some space within the first floor will be reserved for the church band, lighting and sound, and ancillary operations. Winners Chapel will be employing up to 30 staff that will operate from the Nottingham base, with 10 full time and 20 part time. The cost of construction for the Ridgeway homes is estimated to be £8 million, and it's expected to create 226 full-time construction and supply chain jobs if approval is granted. Developers found in a consultation that more residents opposed the plans for the area than favoured them.
