The manager claimed he went into the guest’s room because he smelled smoke.
The guest told police he woke up to find Neal sucking his toes and immediately confronted him. The guest recognized him as he had come into his room the day before with another employee to take care of an issue with the TV.
Once authorities arrived, Neal claimed he went into the guest’s room because he smelled smoke, with the intention of checking on the victim. But if that was the case, Neal failed to report the smell of smoke to security and there were no other reports of the smell from other guests or staff, police said.
Authorities arrested Neal at his home on Friday. He is charged with aggravated burglary and assault, according to reports.
