A former poultry farm could be converted into a housing development after plans were submitted.
The site in Woodlands Road is described as in a “poor state of repair” and no longer in use as a farm – and the land has been purchased by developer City & Suburban.A planning statement by agent Savills reveals a total of 37 new homes would be built – 17 houses and a block of 20 flats.Circled is the farm in Nash Mills which is proposed to be redeveloped. The development would comply with Three Rivers District Council’s affordable housing policies with 17 of the 37 homes designated as affordable. This includes 70% available for social rent, 5% for intermediate rent, and 25% as First Homes. There would be 78 car parking spaces with the development accessed from Woodlands Road. No changes appear to be planned in Woodlands Road but a footpath has been mooted for Hyde Lane.Pictured on the left is the entrance to the poultry farm from Woodlands Road.
