The Biden Administration struck a deal to free the remaining five 'Citgo 6' members from a Venezuelan prison.

Friday, April 1, 2022, in Houston.The last of the so-called “Citgo 6” have been freed from prison in Venezuela and are on their way home, bringing resolution to the nearly five-year ordeal.
The remaining men — Tomeu Vadell, Jose Luis Zambrano, Alirio Zambrano, Jorge Toledo and Jose Pereira — were released Saturday. Maduro's government in a statement called the swap a humanitarian gesture and commended the release of"two unjustly" imprisoned Venezuelans. The foreign government"hopes for the preservation of peace and harmony with all the nations of our region and the world.”
The transfer took place Saturday in the Caribbean island of St. Vincent and Grenadines, which is ruled by an ally of Maduro, three people in Venezuela briefed on the matter told the AP on the condition of anonymity.
