As a follow-up to Thursday’s showers and thunderstorms, Houstonians can expect more rain Friday morning. Forecasters predict Friday to be chilly, cloudy and windy.is in effect in the Houston area, spanning from 1 to 10 a.m. Winds are predicted to reach up to 40 mph in portions of Southeast Texas and could have the potential to move unsecured objects. The weather service warns that tree limbs could be taken down by strong gusts, resulting in power outages.

The morning is expected to kick off with showers and thunderstorms, with the likelihood of rain decreasing by early afternoon,While the rain and wind are expected to subside by the evening, skies will likely remain cloudy into Friday night. Temperatures are expected to drop to the mid-40s, according to the weather service.Saturday and Sunday will continue to once again be in the 50s with cloudy skies and potentially windy conditions. Light rain may also be in the cards.

There is a 20 percent chance of rain Saturday before 1 p.m. and the high temperature is expected to be 53. At night the temperature is expected to drop to 45.
