An Australian cricketer has sparked arguably the biggest scandal yet for recently-elected New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon.

"It's a residence that's been good enough for every prime minister up to Christopher Luxon," former New Zealand Prime Minister Chris Hipkins said in response. "It might as well be within the rules, but the reality is it's becoming a distraction," Christopher Luxon said after he promised to repay the money.
The answers are contained in a top-secret report by the Premier House Board handed down to Jacinda Ardern before being passed onto Chris Hipkins when she resigned.The confusion grew after it was revealed the Luxon family had stayed at the"unlivable" property over Christmas.According to reports from local newsrooms that have seen a leaked copy of the report, the Premier House Board wants to spend as much as $28 million to refurbish Premier House.
While in the hands of The Crown, it hosted Queen Elizabeth II and was home to Australian High Commissioners in New Zealand.
