Where did Speckman come up with the idea? He said a coach once told him at a clinic that the eight or so seconds before the ball is snapped is for the offense, and that offenses should use that time to their advantage. "That's probably the main reason you want to do it," Speckman said."Every team can't run every play. Each season you have a skill set you are pretty good at.
