It may have taken some time, but Josh Proctor has finally turned into the player most expected him to be when he arrived as a top 100 recruit in 2018 as the first Oklahoma native to come to Columbus. His play in the win over the Terrapins provided consistent shifts in momentum for the Buckeyes while the offensive figured things out. That included a pick-six to get OSU on the scoreboard and a tackle on kick return that set an aggressive, physical tone for the secondary.
It also meant walking away as the highest-graded defensive player with a Pro Football Focus grade of 86.6. Other players to grade out as 70 or above included Mike Hall Jr. , Tyleik Williams and Lathan Ransom who also had an interceptiono.every player on every play and uses a scale of 0-100, with higher grades indicating better play. PFF has explained its grades this way: 100-90 elite; 89-85 Pro Bowler; 84-70 starter; 69-60 backup; 59-0 replaceable.
