This is Hollywood.” I was like, “Okay, that makes sense. I see why they can’t let this s— go.
Kevin, you’ve been retired for a couple years now, so what was it like getting back into that 2012 mindset?It wasn’t hard. I haven’t been that far removed from it. Every time you go to the playoffs and you start a series, you have an attachment to it. The possibilities are all there, it could go either way, and it’s probably the most uncertain time of the year. When you start to face a team for seven games, you know each other, there’s nothing new, and it’s a different type of mindset.
Josh and Benny, what was it like filming that first scene with Kevin when he shows up to Howard’s shop and Adam is just running around, coming in and out of the back room, throwing NBA questions at Kevin? That had to be surreal for you guys.For us, it was incredible to try and get as much insight into the game from an inside point of view. We were asking so many questions, and that scene in particular was just so much fun to hear Kevin riff with Adam.
