Labor's campaign spokesman has given an insight into what the next week of the party's Federal Election campaign will look like as Anthony Albanese is sidelined with COVID-19.

Hours before he returned the positive swab result on Thursday evening, the Opposition Leader visited a retirement village in Nowra on the New South Wales South Coast. "Following a routine PCR test this afternoon ahead of interstate travel to Western Australia, I have returned a positive result for COVID this evening," he said.
