How one liddle’ tweet from Trump turned into a viral, real-time grammar lesson:
The president fired off a confusing post on Twitter TWTR, -2.72% early Friday morning that slammed the “LameStream Media” for wrongly accusing him of misspelling the scornful nickname “Liddle” that he’d attached to the name of House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff.
The president is calling out someone else for misspelling a word that doesn’t exist in a tweet in which he uses the word “discribing” and calls an apostrophe a hyphen. pic.twitter.com/BxKWXBOuoP — Benjamin Dreyer September 27, 2019 "Trump claims the media is dishonest because it claims he spelled the word 'little' wrong when he spelled it 'liddle' but he argues that adding an apostrophe to 'liddle' makes it a correct spelling, though he calls the apostrophe a hyphen" has a strong bot-generating-tweets vibe.
