“Our team had been working through the night and on early Saturday morning, we definitely realised that there were a lot of high-risk areas that were of concern,” Ms Murphy told“I was setting an alarm every hour to just wake up and check if there were any other urgent support requests that were coming in.
Their catchment received 839mm of rainfall and their house was destroyed by floodwater that reached the roof.
