For many of us, creating the “perfect outfit”, can sometimes feel impossible. You know how it can feel when you think you’ve got your fit sorted and then something is too big or too small or doesn’t end up looking the way you want. Well, Aussie best friends Nicole Costa and Danielle Smyrneos knew this feeling too well and wanted to find a solution. The best friends came up with a revolutionary fashion accessory known as The Basic Band.
The two friends first came up with the concept in 2020 when they were living together during the COVID pandemic. The pair were excited by the thought of raiding each other’s wardrobes but most of the clothing items needed slight alterations to fit them both.After many attempts at tucking, tying, pinning, and even accidentally destroying an item they quickly realised that sharing clothing wasn’t what they thought it would be. Which is what inspired the girls to create The Basic Band.
